Breakfast is something I struggle with too. My favourite thing here at the moment is Rice Pudding, with Pears. (I am slowly cutting down the amount of sugar I add too). If you added some nuts to it it could be higher in protien. Ours ends up kinda like the bought LeRice things with fruit. Mmmm, Yumm.

OOh, I am a breakfast eater! I have home made muesli and yoghurt for breakfast most days. We normally do pancakes once over the weekend; and I often have raisin toast on Friday mornings. No particular reason why I only have raisin toast on Fridays!

Plus coffee of course!

(I can happily eat breakfast three meals a day!)

Natasha really struggles with breakfast, when it's holidays she usually eats about 10am. She has finally hit on something that she can eat at 730 and that is one egg on one piece of toast.....I'm just happy she is eating something. The other thing that will happen is if there is a leftover of some description (bean and mince mix or somesuch) then she will have it in a toastie. Heidi will sometimes have toast, piece of cheese, slices of tomato topped with an egg

I used to always be a breakfast eater. I would start my day with a bowl of cereal and a piece of fruit without fail, every single day. As I've got older (and fatter) I've fallen off the breakfast bandwagon and seem to just have 2 or 3 cups of coffee for breakfast.

I'm like you (or at least how you *were*). Always felt queasy on waking and tended to have a coffee and wait later for 'morning tea' time. Still, I'm trying to have some fruit and toast or cereal, even if I don't feel like it. And, if I'm honest, the breakfast of my dreams is when I have a fresh mug of coffee and a slice of leftover cheesecake/mud cake/fruit tart/pavlova/shortcake.....

I love a strawberry smoothie. 12 small strawbs (buy them cheap and freeze them), soy milk or fruit juice and almond meal or silken tofu. (Don't double up on soy - so fruit juice and tofu or soy milk and almonds). Add a splash of flaxseed oil and blend.

You can use any fruit.

Scrambled eggs with ricotta, sauteed mushrooms & asparagus
cous cous with grated apple, yoghurt & cinnamon
special k with a banana
oats, yoghurt, banana & blueberries
Fried egg on half a muffin

Now I am looking forward to waking up in the morning!!
