I always loved the slower holiday pace, but then school time wasn't so bad either. The kids didn't seem to need help with homework unless they had to read to someone and get that ticked off the list. I found it helped to have them do their homework after dinner while there wasn't anyhting on TV that they'd be wanting to watch and it was dark outside so the couldn't play.

Funny how the first day back can often be chaotic in one way or another. I have one home that often that I honestly don't know how working mothers manage.

Solitude.. what's that? This morning I gave a sigh of relief when I sent my two off... until I got an SMS from young one saying he felt bad and was in the SSO.. just great.. ... should I ring the school? should i leave it? mmm.. then just as I started to relax the phone rang.. yes young man was not well and I should collect him.. so I have just spent 2 hours in the car collecting him.. he slept all the way home and looks very pale.. and is resting on the lounge!!
So guess its still solitude just in a new form. I am still being taught flexibility and am yet to be perfected!!
Guess i should be thankful I had the day off today and could be there for him.. :)
Motherhood is full of challenges and blessings .. maybe i need to focus on the latter a whole lot more..

Ps hope your child at home is feeling better soon too.
