Made all my men happy with surprising them with hot scones, homemade jam and cream for morning tea yesterday .. yummo….. and there were even some left for breaky this morning.. i love day old scones with a layer of butter and a cup of hot tea for breaky…. !!

I made these last year from a recipe I got from Kim at Frog ponds Rock, they were great!

Scones should only be brushed with milk. Any sweet baked goods, pastries, scones etc, should be brushed with milk.
Egg is for savoury baked goods, such as pasties, meat pies.

Sounds good.. i hear they really work..however i use another failproof recipe that has been handed down generations but must try your recipe out one of these days!!

Do you know that I’ve used this very same recipe a few times and mine always come out like rocks!

My hubby Love Chunks, on the other hand, will get up and decide that he feels like some scones, whip some up without following a recipe and they’re always fluffy, fresh and delicious. I think it’s always going to be my lot to enjoy his cooking and clean up afterwards.
