My son-in-law was recently diagnosed with celiac disease and as such has had to eliminate gluten from his diet. This really presented a challenge for me when it came time to make dinner for our christmas gathering. I am fortunate in that my daughter has spent a lot of time researching which foods and food additives are gluten free. I really think that there needs to be a standarization in how products are labelled to avoid the guess work when you want to try a new product. Personally I love these types of bars and generally keep a supply on hand at home and at work as an alternative to snack bars. I am glad to hear that you made out alright despite the unclear label.

I have never liked muesli bars - and my kids don't either - I have got my kids to try them a couple of times - mainly because they are a healthy snack - but no, they hated it - May be I will try these ones and see if they are converts...

I'm not sure what number you are up to, but would love to give the bars a try if still available...no onto reading some more of your blog

I'm not in Australia. Does anyone remember Swisskit? "Would you risk it for a Swisskit?" We used to have it in the UK in the 70s and then it disappeared.

They're a new one to me as well, think they might have been what Heidi was talking about the other day, I must check to see if our local supermarket has them, guessing will have to wait until I go to town though

I haven't purchased muesli bars or anything similar in a long time; they often seem such poor value for money. These sound healthier than many of the others, but they would need to really tickle my taste-buds in order to make it on to my shopping list. I'm game to give them a try, if there are still some on offer. Thanks

I like some muesli type bars, but I read the ingredients carefully, especially the ones that say "Berry". If there's a mix of berries in them, I read to check for blueberry, they seem to be in a lot of stuff now and they make my mouth sting.
I like these Be Natural ones, I've looked at them while shopping, but by the time I've got everything I need and totalled the cost, (yes, I write down the price as I cross off the list), I usually decide to get them "next time".
I'd love to try the apricot ones.

I actually really like muesli bars. Apricot ones. But not those choc coated ones or the yoghurt topped ones...

But you don't have to send me a box of these, I already have some. :)

Hi! I would love to try the Be Natural Bars. I have been checking them out in the supermarket and have been enticed by their packaging - it looks so plain, simple and heathy. But like you I realise that there is always that hidden fat and sugar. Have been realising that I have been skipping breakfast quite regualry and then overeating or just eating the wrong thing later in the day. I'm thinking that these bars may just help me through that hungry time. Love to be able to try it out. Thanks for the opportunity! :-)

Oh I would love to try a box!! I've yet to try a bar I can actually say I love, and I don't have time (or money!) to keep experimenting with a million different recipes. So we always stick with cakes and muffins.
Would be great to try something different we can throw in our bags on our way out the door in a hurry.

BTW great to see you back - have missed your blog (and recipes, and kiddie updates!)
