Kelli - yeah, I am thankful for the opportunity. Some days I still scratch my head wondering what I'm doing but most of the time I do enjoy it.

River - I hope it does click one day. I feel like I'm very slowly gaining an understanding of the game. I do hope that one day my brain will react a little faster to the play. Not sure if it's age or experience that makes that a problem.

Katrina - nice. thanks for the encouragement. :) Would love to be consistent with flashes of brilliant though. Perhaps that can be my next aim?

My daughter is a netball coach, she tells me that consistent is a lot bigger compliment than brilliant as brilliant is something that only happens every so often where consistancy is very hard to find in players on a team and is something that everyone should be aiming for. The consistent players are the most reliable on the team and the most welcomed. She would prefer to have a team of several consistent players rather than the odd brilliant players
This is coming from someone who plays and coaches so she should know what she is talking about

Consistent is good. Brilliance comes with practice and familiarity. You know, once you're familiar with the position you're playing you can relax into it. much like learning a new job. takes a while to learn the ropes, and the people, then one day it "clicks".

Good on you for playing a game! I would love to do that, but for various reasons it is too difficult.

And a consistent game is much better than a flash of brilliance and then rubbish for the rest.

Have a great game this week!
