Joyce - there's nothing like it is there? :)

Cadi's Mum - I LOVE potato bake. Will have to try this! :) Thanks.

Lynette - Roast Turkey. Mmmmm. I have no idea about fire ban stuff. That's Farmboy's department. Being in the CFS, he should know what we can and can't do.

Lani - I had a boss once who had a "roundtoit" on her desk.

Jo - The choc chips do make it yum! We're not big stew fans here. Should try this sometime though. We might actually like it.

River - inventive or just a chocaholic? ;)

Kelli - agreed. Love the smokey taste the fire adds. My favourite is wood oven pizza. Followed by wood oven bread! Mmmmm....wish I had a wood oven!

Victoria - it is a great pot. Farmboy's sister gave it to him. We need to make better use of it.

Oh yum, that looks nice. And what a lovely big pot you have to cook in.

Lynette's turkey sounded good too.

That makes me feel really hungry, and I don't even like lamb. Nothing in the kitchen ever tastes as good as something cooked on a fire. Mmmmm, just dreamy of damper cooked on a stick on a fire when we were on adventurers camps - still doughy in the middle & charred on the outside. Enjoy your camp oven. We landed in Blinman when they were having a big camp oven cookout & it all looked so good.

Choc chip damper? That's one I've never heard of before. Most people go with raisins or sultanas. You're so inventive!

We love cooking in the camp oven. We mainly make stew - chuck steak marinated in wine for however long you have. Chuck it in with some flour, onions, vegies if you have them. Yummo! I was going to try making damper with chocolate chips but it never happened - will definitely be trying it next time!

Looks scrumptious. Mouth watering!

You know, I actually have a "roundtuit". My Opa made it for me when I was a child and sent it over to Australia for me. Yes, even in primary school I was a world class procrastinator. (And you can imagine how much I treasure it because he made it just for me.)

Camp oven cooking is one of my favourite dinners. Now you can try stews, curries, roast chicken, even sausages are yum. My friend makes a delicious potato bake - just line the oven with baking paper and do it like you do in the oven.
