I want to get 'buy' by buying as little as possible this year too.

My little boys aren't old enough to write Christmas lists ;) and they think a $2 pack of 6 little paintbrushes is better than a Freddo frog.

My 16 yr ...gift cards all the way because we have no taste ;)

I haven't started thinking about it yet. Well - I should say up until yesterday, I hadn't been thinking about it until I overheard the lady behind the counter in the coffee shop saying she had finished all her Christmas shopping - AND had all the presents wrapped!!
I have no idea what I will get anyone on my list. And I have a lot of family with birthdays around that time too. I guess I better start thinking, especially since a lot of the presents need to be sent overseas!

We get more and more minimalist every Christmas. We don't need stuff and others need things so much more than we do. Will try to get by without buying much at all this year. My brother and his family are spending Christmas with us. I "owe" their daughter a quilt that I just need to put together..

I used to be in the mega-organised category, starting with lay-bys straight after Easter, having things wrapped, labelled and hidden by the end of November at the latest; but circumstances change, kids grow up, heck even the grandkids have grown so much, 3 of them are now teenagers. What I do these days is squirrel away any spare cash, plus lotto winnings (few and far between), all year, then in December I buy small gifts and "top up" things, like mobile phone credit for the teenagers, department store gift cards for adults, just cards for those that live far away because postage on anything larger than a card is just too much now. The gift cards sounds like a cop-out, but really for us it's a great idea. We collaborate so that recipients get gift cards from several people all for the same store, for instance K likes books, so gets cards from several people for Borders, J likes playstation games, so he'll get cards for Jb HiFi. They keep these until the after christmas sales when things are marked down by quite a bit, then they go shopping and get much more of what they want. Everybody's happy. I will still buy a "proper" present for the youngest grandchild, she's only five and a half this christmas.

I'm not doing too badly Christmas wise. I know what the boys are being given & most of it is on layby. Bit stuck on my parents, but pretty much have planned the rest.

Don't get too stressed about it all. And enjoy thinking about the present you have bought & the joy it will be bring.
