Smiley Saturday: Taking A Break
I have decided to take a break from Smiley Saturday while we are away. I don’t want the pressure of having to post on any set day so it makes the most sense. It won’t hurt to have a break and I’ll reassess when we get back whether or not I’ll restart it.
My BIGGEST smile at the moment is coming from the excitement that the trip is SO close. Everything else seems to be paling in comparison right now. In fact, it’s been difficult these past few days to get my head into other stuff that’s happening before we go. All focus is on the trip and getting ready (head-space wise anyway).
Today is my last netball game which doesn’t really make me smile (oh, playing it does, leaving it doesn’t). Not that I’d give up the big trip in order to play the rest of the season but I will still miss it. Let’s hope my playing today makes me smile (and not frustrated).
Friday I had my first professional massage which was nice (although did hurt in many places). I’d always thought of them as purely for pleasure but it would seem there are a lot of health benefits too. I think I probably need a few more before all the kinks and knots are worked out enough to fully enjoy them.
And this weekend my parents are visiting. The kids are very excited as they’ll have Nan & Pa watching them play sport. :) They’re here to pick up our cats to “cat-sit” while we’re gone.

It’s very nice that you are so happy going on your trip. Less nice is that there will be no smiley saturday, what should I write then, lol ? or should I continue while you have your break ? I just had such a funny (could have been dangerous) adventure in the Dolomites in Italy, lol !
You said “I hope you had a smiley saturday”. Well…mine was pretty grouchy! LOL! It had it’s smiley moments, like winning netball by one point (how good was that?) and a lovely goodbye hug from you….but the grouchy moments are what stayed with me. Like a certain Princess’s little outburst on the netball court, and being told in front of everyone that my “nice” child isn’t so nice afterall….don’t get me wrong. If one of my kids is doing the wrong thing I want to know about it, but there is a time and a place, and that wasn’t it.
Enough of my moaning! I hope and pray that your trip is everything you are hoping for. I know that you will bless everyone you meet, as you have me. Thank you so much for your friendship, support, love and prayers over the past few years. I expect that to continue of course, but thought now as good a time as any to let you know how much I appreciate you.

Sharon - I assume I must have missed that did I? Someone saying something in front of everyone? It’s funny you know, after all the hugs we got this morning I was thinking “why don’t we hug one another more often?” Wouldn’t that be nice? Thanks for your lovely comments.
