Smiley Saturday: My HUGE Laundry

smiley-saturday-2.JPG

It’s been a busy week and I’ve done a stint on the tractor most days (yah!!!) but I still managed to get most of my list in the laundry done.

The poor laundry is often a dumping place for anything that has nowhere else to go. So it can get a bit junked up at times.

Now it’s all clean and tidy and it looks HUGE!!!!

My Laundry

It makes me smile every time I go in there. :)

Plus, of course, my singing washing machine continues to make me smile.

In other smiley news, I participated in a Secret Mumma Agent swap at Dances to the Beet of Her Own Drum.  I picked up my parcel on Monday.  I do love parcels in the post!!!!  :)

Look at my lovely parcel:

Secret Mumma Agent Gift

My agent obviously knew me well!!!!

If you’re reading this, thank you secret mumma agent and thanks Mistress B for organising it.  I had a lot of fun.  Hopefully my recipient enjoyed what I sent.

I hope you can all find something to smile about this week.  If you’d like to join us, feel free to link to your Smiley Saturday post below.  :)

I think a washing machine and a dishwasher was the best thing a man ever invented (I mean if it was a man, or was it a woman behind a man ?) My great grandma had to hire a washwoman for the laundry once a week (she had 11 kids) and it took the whole day !

I envy your huge laundry mine is a shoe box in comparison.
I wouldn’t mind a singing machine either. Novel but takes the dreariness out !

We’re heading for a heat wave here with all the usual chaos but a parcel in the post is always a pick me up.
    Cheers

Your laundry is huge! Mine has the tub, with washer next to it and the dryer stacked on top of the washer. There is room for the door to open and there’s the door to the bathroom, that’s it. The whole space is only 1.4 metres wide x 1.8 metres deep.

That was a rhubarb type gift - from me, of course. I am glad you enjoyed it. Fun swap!

Leanne - in our old house they were the toy cupboards. Here, nearly every other room has built ins so the toys are in the “linen cupboard” and these became my linen and cleaning cupboards.

Gattina - agreed. Our Pioneers were amazing women.

Trish & River - When I designed this house, one of the transportable companies kept saying how big the laundry and kitchen were and I’m like “I spend half my time in those 2 rooms, why wouldn’t I want them large?” They didn’t really get it. MEN!!!

Maddy - totally. Hope you survive the heatwave.

Rhubarb - how funny! You were my “secret” partner in the Aussie Bloggers Christmas one. :)

Hee, hee. Well, I thought it was supposed to be a secret so I kept it that way. Couldn’t help but out myself now though. LOL. I’m glad you like it. I would have bought 1 for me too but they only had 1 pink one - see the sacrifice I made for you!!!! :)
