3 letters arrived in the mail today from the Director of School and Regional Operations officially granting our children exemption from school in term 3!!!!
Yes, we were going on our Big Trip regardless but naturally we’d prefer to work within the bounds of the law.
Another thing to be ticked off the list!
Big Trip, here we come!!!
Oh, and apparently my 5 year old is in year 13. Go figure!!!????

That’s great!!!
I think I’d feel the same as you–willing to break a ridiculous law, but preferring not to : )
Yee Haw!
You will definitly have a great time now knowing that the school is all taken care of.
Great news. Do you know what the min. time away from school is that you are supposed to get “permission”?

Libby - here it is 4 weeks. Under that, the Principal can approve an exemption but more than that has to go higher. That might vary from state to state though. Not sure.
