Geocaching

After our first foray into Geocaching over Easter, we’ve decided it will be a great activity to participate in while we’re away on our big trip.  Or any of our caravanning trips really.

I’ve written a bit about it on 3 Kids And a Caravan.

And our Geocaching name?  3kidsandacaravan LOL

I love that it’s an international activity as well.

Anyone else involved in Geocaching?

Big geocaching family here. We are ThisMechaniCan and have 7 (or is it 8?) caches here in Kimba, if you want to try some close to home, (although there are HEAPS in your town).
We have some traditional caches, a multicache, a nighttime cache, a nanocache. All types that you are likely to come across on your adventure. You can read about our caching adventures at http://thismechanican.wordpress.com

Yes there are heaps around here. We haven’t been involved for a while but had a great time with a year or so ago before the teenagers got too cool!

Hey Gnometree - I was just taking a look at your website today, having found it while browsing for caches. didn’t know it was you guys. :)

Sharon - I noticed there are a few locally. It’s taken me a while to get my head around how it all works. Thankfully Mandy figured it out and we just followed them over the weekend and now I “get it” (or at least get it more than I did before).

I note that you will be in Kimba on Sat. H10 has her game at 11.30 and I assume Singstars is at 10.30? I am not sure what I have to work just yet, but I’d be happy to lend you our spare GPS and wander around with you if we can spare an hour or so between games
