Sometimes a funeral is a joyous celebration of a life well lived and what a wonderful legacy he leaves behind. It s great your children had a chance to know him.
I wasn’t sure if you would do a Smiley Saturday.
I hope it is a peace filled and special day for your family. I am sorry for your loss.

Wow Thanks so much for posting this J. Normally we see photos of the maternal generations but not many of the paternal.
Every picture tells a story! I wonder what sort of stories of school times and pranks those blokes got up to.
If they are at all as hilarious as my dads etc then there are some great ones.
Hoping the funeral was a very special time for you all.

It is weird to say, but all of my grandparents funerals were a wonderful time to talk about them, catch up with relatives and heal old silly rifts.

If only we could do these things before a loss…

This is really a coincidence. I also posted about the funeral of my best friend. It sounds very funny (sorry to say that but it was) fortunately I had said good bye to her before so I could attent the funeral with humour. The only thing which really comforts me is, that she would have laughed with me. She was such a funny girl full of humour.
