Brain Dump

This is one of those eclectic posts ( a mish-mash of topics) you can really only get away with on a personal blog. But hey, this is a personal blog, so why not?

I have a cold. It’s knocking me about a bit. I started on some natural stuff on Saturday and while I already had the cold by then, it has crossed my mind that some of my symptoms might be related to the detox process. Either way, I’m a total grump to be around right now (Farmboy would laugh at that because my style of grumpy is a little different to other people’s style of grumpy). I hate feeling so weary.

I feel like my house is a dump. It’s not. In fact, in a different mood, I might even consider it to be “reasonable”. Problem is, in this kind of mood, I want everything to be perfect. And let’s face it, no house is EVER perfect right? Not if you actually LIVE there.

I did do some more decluttering which I’m happy about. I figured if I could work on a garbage bag or equivalent leaving this house each week, we’d eventually get on top of the clutter, right? Today I have bagged up some clothes to go to various sources. Now to actually get them OUT of the house (my biggest challenge when it comes to decluttering).

I’m also getting rather frustrated with the fact that my life is so busy. I was planning all these achievements around the house now that all 3 kids are at school. Problem is, I seem to be spending half my life AT SCHOOL. LOL. Or somewhere. Not here. Not often enough anyway. I know, we were away last week. That’s part of it. But I’m out nearly every day this week and then we go away for the long weekend.

Okay, this isn’t really a brain dump is it? It’s just an almighty big WHINGE!!! And I’ve just noticed the last 4 paragraphs have begun with “I”. Oh, that’s right, it’s MY blog so I guess it’s alright to be a little self focused, yeah? LOL.

On a more positive note, I found out yesterday that netball training begins on the 19th. Yah! I can’t wait! Wonder if I can still throw and catch a ball???? I didn’t do the “preseason” stuff last year so this will be another new experience for me. This year I leave half way through instead of starting (not quite) half way through. Bit of a bummer but I’m determined to enjoy what games I do get to play.

I’ve noticed that my blog comments have dropped off quite a lot (but not my stats). Was it something I said or is everyone just as busy as me?

Oops, the bus has just pulled up. Better go greet the kidlets.

Mwah to anyone who has read this far. It really was a brain dump wasn’t it? Now I’m officially an “air-head” (oh yeah, I’ve been one of those for a loooonnnggg time - twas even my nickname at one stage).

some of us are still here even if we dont comment all the time!

When i am sick i also get cranky about the state of the house….. think its just coz i feel guilty for being sick and also want others to see the dirt and so something about it instead of good ole me ….. I have had to work on this the last months too…… and just be thankful I have a home to dirty and one that feels like home to the kids and hubby.. where they can come and escape from the pressures of work, school, firends etc….

Recently i read a young teens FB views on her mum working - she thinks its great because when her mum is at work (a new phenomenon for them) the kids and dad can relax bcos the mum isnt there to tell them to clean the speck of dust off the tv etc….. I had a chuckle and think it may be true in my home too when i am sick or go shopping alone on weekends!

Remember too that you are in a season… adapting to kids at school and what that may mean for you…. it takes time and i recall filling up those early days with not much (in worldy terms)….. and b4 I knew it i was volunteering days at school…….it took me a long time to work it out and hten i started working by default…..

It sure sounds like netball is your thing and i am soo jealous as i wish i could get sporty…. its just not me….. you have probably missed it heaps too.

so get on board and enjoy this rain if you had any today, the cooler weather, curl up with a cuddly blanket and a good book and chat again soon….

Isn’t it funny how *dirt* is more visible when we’re unable to do much about it? Like when we’re sick and can’t get out of bed or chair without getting dizzy/nauseous. As soon as we’re well again, those tiny specks of dust in the corners go back to being invisible.

Yes, whenever I’m sick I also see only the dark …the problems ….and the chip packets behind the sofa.

    Sending you healing thoughts.

Hi, Of course everything looks bad when we feel bad, it’s a natural order of things. When all is well in our world, we can see past what doesn’t matter, but when we feel down, or sick then we see everything (but not in the right light).

Re commenting, where has the time flown this year? I sit down, read the blogs I love (including you) and then look at the clock and say ‘where did the time go? Why is it now 11.30pm and I have to be up early?’ So, no commenting from me is a time thing. I still love reading you and praying for your health.

I hadn’t heard that netball training starts on the 19th! And I’m one of the coaches! Do you think someone will tell me? LOL!

Lynette - turned out we didn’t get much rain at all. Bit of drizzly stuff but nothing of any consequence. I do wonder if I needed to take a week and just say “right, I’m not going ANYWHERE this week” and see if that helps me feel on top of things. Dunno. Can’t see that happening very easily (although funnily enough it did happen when I had the breakdown and the world kept turning).

River - LOL. Very funny indeed. :)

    Kelley - thanks. :)

Sarah Lulu - any chip packets behind the sofa are probably MINE! LOL. I’m a chipaholic!!!

Michelle - it’s funny isn’t it. Life seems to be getting busier and busier.

Sharon - Bwah Ha Ha! They are probably hoping you’ll hear about it on the grapevine somewhere. Don’t worry, Farmboy was talking with the mini’s coach last night about when they’d start training and he was like “our first game isn’t until after Anzac Day isn’t it?” Farmboy was like “um…nope”. If they wait until Anzac day methinks they’ll miss the first game!!!! :)

I think people are busy all over the place.

I know I am. I keep looking at the increasing numbers in my feed reader and feeling guilty, but honest to goodness I just don’t know where the time is going!!
