Wow, I’m impressed. I was hard pressed to make shortbread and rum balls this year, but I did it. Then again, we did have 4 cooks in the house for Christmas, so getting any time in the kitchen at all was a challenge.

Next year Christmas is at my house, and I’m doing it MY WAY!! Mwa ha ha!

Mark - it’s a terrible time of year for that isn’t it? I’m working on whether I can maintain my current weight over the Christmas season (rather than gaining).

Dina - I’m pretty sure they’re the same Oreo’s. They haven’t been available here for that many years.

River - I know what you mean!

Lynette - Potato Bake - yum!!! I’ve never perfected the art of making that. My potato never seems to cook properly. As for oreos - you can use any chocolate biscuit with vanilla cream in the centre. There are cheaper brands. This is the first time I’ve actually used the actual Oreo’s and the chocolate is stronger (they’re a darker chocolate than other brands). It really doesn’t matter though.

Congrats you have done more than me! Tomorrow is my cooking day, mainly for Christmas lunch as i am taking cheesecakes adn hot potato bake so not too hard but I also want a few nibblies that are meant for visitors but usually find their way into our own mouths.

yes Oreos are fantastic but expensive here? Anything else to use instead?

There’s an awful lot of baking going on in blogland. Everyone is supplying the recipes too. GAH! I can feel my hips spreading with each recipe I read! I’m still going to try the cheesecake oreo balls though.

But how am I supposed to loose weight with pictures of yummies like that?
I’ll have to try the Cheesecake Oreo Balls. How much better can it get than a combination of Cheescake and Chocolate?
