My parents are visiting and I feel the need to keep the house up to my mums standards of clean which are far higher than mine. So I'm going to bed late, getting up early and out most days. Or as Kez said, write a list and prioritise everything on it. So, write the list and in another column next to it write when you are going to do it. So assign things to a particular day, so that you can avoid double-ups etc. And if you are away for Christmas, then don't worry too much about the house. Just make sure that it is clean enough so that you don't get a huge fright when you walk back in. Get the silly season over and done with and then worry about the house. And remember to look after you - that really is the most important thing. As wonderful as Christmas is, its only one day out of a whole year. Try and keep some perspective (which I know is hard) so that it doesn't get blown out of proportion and become your reason for being in the next week or so.
