Ho, Ho, Ho….. Merry Christmas!

Since we have lived in this house, we’ve had a tradition of displaying a Santa in our front paddock. Santa is always a hit with the school bus kids, neighbours and passers by. So, over the weekend, Santa once again mysteriously appeared in our front paddock.

Each year we try to do something different with Santa. The first year he sat on an old Bulldog tractor. The next it was an old Fire Truck and last year he did the “Aussie” thing, waving from his deck chair with a cold drink in his hand.

After 3 years, poor old Santa was looking a little worse for wear. So, first task this year was to give him a fresh, new suit.

Then the fun part, a ride with Santa on the back of the ute:

I think Lleyton would like to do a cricket playing Santa next.

And this year, we have a truly Aussie Santa once again:

Ho, Ho, Ho….. Merry Christmas!!!!

Have I mentioned how much I LOVE Christmas???? Laughing

Looks like fun and its a great idea to chance his position so they never know where he’ll turn up.

    Happy holidays..

Your local neighbours aren’t the only ones who look forward to seeing what your Santa is up to each year :-).

Hahaha… hilarious! Personally, I think you might want to tape a stubby into Santa’s hand too… he looks like he’s had a few too many lying in that tree, so it would fit :P

LOL - that would be a fun sight to see! When my wife was young, there was a house in her street that did a similar thing, and each year everyone would wonder where santa was going to appear :-)

Speaking of Santa and Christmas, it looks like we’ll be putting up our decorations over the next few days. My wife always likes to start off decorating her computer desk (and when I say decorate I mean there is a separate box with just all the things that go on her desk - the rest of the living room fits in two more boxes of the same size! :-) ) I imagine by the end of Saturday everything will be set up.

Lol! An Aussie santa sounds like the real thing (looks like it too). ;-) I wonder if Santa is also having financial problems this year, since we’re in a global recession. Lol! Budget toys coming our way…

what a brilliant idea …I saw Santa sitting in swing this morning.
We don’t have any one see our house because we are a battleaxe and they would ‘nick’ him from the driveway !

Love him - ours will go up this weekend hopefully. Not sure what position yet!
