Lynette - we were there the middle Saturday so not far apart at all. Good idea re the caravan. In fact, DH and I are planning on using it in January when we do some painting in the house.

Planning Queen - that’s what I thought. Maybe they planted them just for me? LOL. I think we overdid it a little in how much we crammed in. It was a bit exhausting.

Jenn - thanks. We certainly did. Good memories for the kids I hope.

Kimber - looks good doesn’t it. Bit small for my liking though. We had one in a similar style right near us at the caravan park in Canberra. Not sure if it was a refurbished old one or if they’re making them again like that. It wasn’t pink though.

Bettina - be warned, Canberra was EXTREMELY busy. But it is worth the visit if you get a chance. It was bigger than I expected too (Floriade that is).

Gem - yes. Quite a nice one. We had our picnic there and the kids played on the playground. Possibly not the same one though as it looked fairly new. The big boys played cricket - as you do.

It sounds and looks like you all had a fantastic time while you were away.

Is there still a park at the other end of Bradman Oval, away from the house and museum???? When we were younger we used to go and play regularly at that park, it used to have the best swings.

Every year I keep promising myself that I will get to Floriade and every year it seems to slip by without my getting there. Sigh. Perhaps next year lol

Sounds like fun. Loved the tulips!! What day were you in Bowral? as we were there on the first Tuesday Sept 30th of the school holidays to see an old principal boss of mine that lives there! Funny if we crossed paths!

We had thought of doing a day trip to Canberra from Sydney but decided it would all be too rushed to enjoy.

If you miss the van that much I guess you could go and stay in it for some
R& R… could be a nice little parents retreat some nights! mmm. LOL. I am not kidding. I recall how I loved to go and read in an old van my parents put in our backyard at Whyalla, so they didnt upset our household when they came to visit from Adelaide.
