Home
After 2 and a half days of travelling, we have finally made it almost half way across Australia to home once again.
Getting home brings mixed feelings. Relief that we no longer have to sit in the car for hours on end. A feeling of familiarity and comfort and I’m definitely looking forward to sleeping in my own bed once again. Then there’s the “the holiday is over” sadness that accompanies it. None of them overshadow the other, it’s just a mixture of feelings that are all there.
And overshadowing it all is the big “I wonder what it’s going to feel like to come home again after being away for 3 months?” It’ll be interesting to see how foreign home feels after living in a caravan for such an extended time period.
Thank you to those who kept my last post going with their questions and answers. I look forward to making my way through the conversation going on. Feel free to continue if you would like to.
I’ve just checked my google reader and it’s run out of fingers to count how many posts are in there. It just says 1000+. There are over 800 in my “regular reads” alone and that is just one of many folders in there. Some will get deleted but I will try to visit you all soon and at least catch up on a little of your news while I’ve been away.
Now to the mounds of washing, unpacking and cleaning the caravan… I’ll start on all of that tomorrow.

Welcome home!!
Welcome back! (ps. I’m sure you mean to say 2.5 weeks, not days, 1st sentence? Sorry tis the copyreader in me ;))
Bettina - thank you.
Karen - That wasn’t very clear was it? I meant 2 and a half days of actual driving to get from Canberra to home. Not the whole trip.
Ah - I see
Also, hon, with your followup comments via email plugin, I keep getting emails from threads I haven’t clicked the button for. I comment, but don’t click it for more - Its doing it automatically. I don’t really mind, just sayin’
WELCOME HOME!!!
I’ve missed you! Look forward to catching up for a coffee and a chat soon.
I’ve just had a few days off work myself. I’m amazed at how easy it is to sleep until 7am and ignore the clock for the whole 3 days.
Welcome home and I hope your garden is okay.
WElcome back to the best state in Oz! We also arrived home yesterday and its the nicest welcome to sleep in ones own bed, have new clothes to choose from and the space to roam alone!
