I was tagged a little while back by Sharon to do this “A-Z of Me” meme:
Attached or single? VERY attached to my husband!!!

Day of Choice? Friday - has been my designation “day off” for many years now. I’m pretty good at sticking to it too!
Essential Item? Toothbrush - I can’t sleep if I haven’t brushed my teeth.
Flavour of icecream? Mint choc chip
Gummy Bears or Worms? Neither. I HATE gummy bears!!! Sorry Frogdancer.
Hometown? I’ve been everywhere man. Well, not quite EVERWHERE but too many places to be able to call any one place “home”.
Indulgences? Anything with cream. I try not to indulge too often but I am rather parital to cream. Especially if it’s combined with something chocolate. Or cheesecake.
January or July? July - it’s my birthday in July
Kids? Always wanted them. Was afraid I wouldn’t be able to. Now have 3 which I’m stoked about (most days!)
Last Movie I saw in a Theatre? Good question. Not sure I can even remember.

Number of Siblings? 3 younger brothers - feel sorry for me yet?
Oranges or Apples? Oranges with warm custard - YUM!!!
Phobia or Fear? Lighting a match or anything gas. I had a gas heater blow out in my face when I was VERY young.

Season? Spring - I love the freshness and the feeling of hope. I only hope we’re going to get one this year. It feels like it’s jumped from winter directly to summer at the moment.

Unknown fact about me? When I’m trying not to cry, my eyes go VERY blue. Every now and then I’ll get a comment about how blue my eyes are and it’s almost ALWAYS at a time when I’m trying not to cry.
Vegetarian or Oppressor of Animals? Let me guess, this was composed by a Vegetarian?
Xrays or Ultrasound? Ultrasound, given the only times I’ve had them has been when I’ve been pregnant.
Your favourite food? Do I have to pick only one? No? Good. Is chocolate a food? I think my favourites are pretty much all the unhealthy stuff. Pizza, Chicken, vegemite on toast not to mention cheesecake and anything chocolate flavoured (unless it’s been tainted by coffee or liqueur).
Zodiac? Not something I follow

That eye thing is INSANE! My eyes are green and go blue when I am emotional too! Especially angry. When I did the pic for BlogHer, Moo looked at the colour of my eyes and said ‘Wow, you must have been angry mum.’

That’s so fascinating about your eyes. But see now that you’ve told people, I bet everyone is going to be looking at your eyes….trying to see if you’re about to cry.
Had to comment so you’d have another reason to smile. I love reading answers to these things. I like how cheesecake and chocolate are a recurring theme. I think we like the same foods. LOL.
I think when you are about to cry and the blood rushes to your eyes that the rims turn pinker and so they would contrast more with the blue in your eyes making them appear bluer. Sounds good to me anyway.
Wondering what the warm custard is exactly that you would eat with oranges.
Hey thanks for the tag. My eyes change colour too - sometimes they are brown/hazel and other times they are really green. I haven’t worked out if there is a pattern to it yet or not though.
And yes I feel sorry for you about the brothers, but won’t say anymore cause that will give it away before I do the meme
I’m also wondering about the oranges with warm custard thing. Plain oranges or caramelised orange slices? (yum)
My hazel eyes change to green when I’ve been crying, but also when they’ve been irritated by hayfever or something similar, so if people ask if I’ve been crying ,I can lie and say my hayfever has been bad today……..
Kelley - yeah, we’re 2 in peas in a pod babe!!!! Different peas maybe but in the same pod!!!
Dina - the worst part is when someone comments on my eyes and then someone else mentions that I’m upset - makes it much harder not to cry!!! That happened the day I went into labor with my firstborn. My blood pressure went up and I was a bit worried about it so teary. One nurse came in and commented on how blue my eyes were and the other explained about my blood pressure and me being upset. That’s how I found out!
Teeni - yes well, we do have good taste in food. And I am going to be SO cursing this holiday when I get home - I’m sure I’m gaining weight!!! Interesting theory on the eyes. Sounds plausible. As for the custard - it’s made from milk, flour, sugar and egg yolk (I think - I’ve only made “real” custard once, opting for the packet kind mostly).
Gemisht - I look forward to reading yours when I get back.
River - Fresh oranges cut up into small pieces (diced). I’ve never heard of caramelised oranges. Sounds good though. And why is it that we work so hard to hide our emotions???? We’re strange beings aren’t we.
