Congratulations on the win. I’ve been reading along but short on time for commenting.

I think it is fabulous how much you have achieved this year. You have certainly inspired me. Thank you.

You have my sympathies on the croup. I got it often as a child and Heidi gets it now. Warm moist air and steroids like rediprep really are the only treatment options for Heidi. Even the asthma puffers don’t help at all. Yet my nephew who gets croup responds well to the vent olin if they get in early enough. Funny how different kids can be.

I googled and read quite a bit about croup, so now I’m more informed than I used to be. I’ve learned that there are 2 kinds. Spasmodic croup which is not preceded by a cold and regular croup which is preceded by a cold or other infection. I’m happy to be corrected on this as I really had no idea. I’m glad you have your doctor helping and I won’t be dispensing advice on treatment for it again. Seeing as how I was so wrong.

For croup heating the room is not enough, there needs to be steam. Warm, MOIST air to breathe is the aim. But if medication works faster then go for it.
What you said to Sharon–antibiotics? For croup? I thought antibiotics were for infections and croup isn’t one as far as I know. I’d better do some research……….

Sharon - lol re the germs on the new caravan. I think he’ll come good and if not, we have antibiotics. Maybe Steph knew something? (intuitively I mean). Or maybe she just wanted the pink one. ROFLOL.

Joanie - no, I’ve not heard of that remedy for croup. I’m just starting down the route of homeopathic remedies so it sounds interesting.

I love your new netball beanie kid! It’s like the icing on the cake for this week of celebrations!

Celebrating with all of you and so glad you’ve shared your VICTORY stories!

What a bummer that the evening was interupted with a croupy cough. Praying he is feeling better quickly. Have you ever tried hepar sulphuris calcareum (homeopathic med)? We used it for our children when they were young and battled that horrid croupy cough… Just a thought.

So thankful Coach Sharon blessed you with your netball beanie kid so you have a permanent reminder of this season and to continue to inspire you to get ‘fit and ready’ for next season!
