Smiley Saturday - Star Mum

smiley-saturday-2.JPG

The kids came bursting in the door after school on Friday full of stories about their stardom in the playground as a result of their giant m&m cookie’s.

Lleyton in particular seemed to gain quite a lot of attention from other kids and was hesitant to bite into the cookie and end his 5 minutes of fame. Smile

Seeing my kids happy sure makes me smile!!!

One thing I LOVE about Farmboys job is that I can go with him a lot of the time. I don’t do that enough but Friday I took the time out and did. It’s a great time to chat and see what’s happening around the farm. Now I just need to get in the habit of taking the camera and I came across a number of things I’d have loved to photograph to show you (like a lamb so newborn that the afterbirth was still hanging out of the mother).

Next week we have the Field Days in our area. They come around every 2 years and while it tends to be a lot of work for us locals (many of the organisations have their major fundraising activities putting up tents, selling food, manning gates and so on), it’s also a lot of fun.I LOVE browsing the stalls, learning new things and eating WAY too much food. The kids love going around and getting freebies from various organisations. It’s a busy but fun week and it’s making me smile just thinking about it.

Here’s something funny that landed in my inbox this week. Hope it makes you smile/laugh.

Two little kids are in a hospital lying on stretchers next to each other
outside the operating room.

The first kid leans over and asks, ‘What are you in here for?’
The second kid says, ‘I’m in here to get my tonsils out, and I’m a little
nervous.’
The first kid says, ‘You’ve got nothing to worry about. I had that done
when I was four. They put you to sleep, and when you wake up they give
you lots of Jello and ice cream. It’s a breeze.’
The second kid then asks, ‘What are you here for?’
The first kid says, ‘A circumcision.’
‘Whoa!’ the second kid replies, ‘Good luck buddy’, ‘I had that done when
I was born..Couldn’t walk for a year.’

I hope you’ll choose to join us in Smiley Saturday this week and help spread a little “Lightening” in the world. Smile

    Love the joke, too funny!

What a lovely mother you must be - sharing those delicious cookies with your children. I’d be tempted to keep them all to myself. ;)
