I made a vision sheet, stuck the words 'big brothers' from a magazine onto the top corner of it, and lo & behold, although it didn't happen straight away but rather within a fortnight or 3 weeks, I started seeing much more of my 3 big brothers in a short space of time and that is still continuing. So that wish on my vision sheet came true! now I am wishing the other stuff I stuck on it (words from magazines, some done 'ransom' style, images) come through, but they're more reluctant! A plus for me was the positive, happier feeling I got from doing this, in writing down what words I wanted on it, the life goals I didn't realise I had kept spilling out of my pen. I kept checking myself every time I visualised negatively. Better than religion even! I’m Irish (not that it makes a difference!). It was at a homeschooling conference. It was part of the whole "The Secret" thing. I kind of don't believe in that--that you can make things by happening just by thinking positive. But the process of making the vision board was helpful to me in finding out WHAT I wanted. I think a lot of times I'm lost and confused and have no idea what I want. I did!!!
