There’s nothing like having to fork over money for your own child’s artwork!!!! 
Apparently most pieces sold for between $18 and $35 with the highest bid being $50!!!!
It’s all in the name of fun and funds raised are going into art supplies for the school.
Our local school holds a year 1/2 Art Show every second year. It began when Leighton was in year 1 and they held one as a fundraiser. It was so successful that it has become a regular event. It’s held every second year so that you only have to pay for your child’s art once. At least I figure that’s why the do it.
Singstar Princess had such a BALL. She got to go out with just Daddy which was nice for her. The middle child can sometimes miss out on that one to one time.
It’s a bit of a thrill for the kids to watch adults “fighting” over their artwork.

That is a very colorful piece.. What a clever fundraising idea too.

We had that fundraiser at my daughter’s childcare also - it is a great idea (making parents pay for the trash they would otherwise turf) - but who was doing the bidding AGAINST?
