My First School Camp
My eldest heads off on his first school camp this morning.
He’s excited.
Me?
Not so much.
In fact, I’ve been giving him LOTS of cuddles this past week.
I’ve got the “what if something happens and I never see him again” jitters.
Cos NO-ONE can look after MY child like I can!!!!
Right???
*sniff*
It’s okay. The staff going are FABULOUS. I’m sure he’ll be fine. But I just have to have my little “mummy moment” here.
He’ll be back in 54 hours and 23 minutes (give or take)…..
In other news:
I wrote a post called Opening Rain on Aussie Bloggers this week. Pleeeeaaaasssseee take a minute to pop over there and leave me some comment love. Cos you know how I love me some comment love. And it’s a much more uplifting post than the drivel you’ve been putting up with here for the past few days.
We could sure do with some “opening rain” around here. Both the wet kind of the “fresh start” kind.

Awww he’ll be fine
He’ll have a ball. These little steps out into the big world are scary though, because you’re right, NO ONE looks after our babies as well as we do!
argh. I so wasn’t going to be the mommy who couldn’t take the idea of separation from my kid … funny how things change
Bwaaaaaa haaaaaaa haaaaaaaaa!!
Go to my blog babe. I just posted almost the same thing!
Smootches and cuddles
How funny, my eldest daughter left for camp this morning too! I just finished blogging about it, so I know exactly how you feel

He will be fine, but you know that don’t you.
Sorry about today. Losing my mind. Nope, already lost it.
Hugs - I was exactly the same the first time … I was in tears at the bus stop and had to stop myself from blubbering in front of my friends.
Last week it was meh … I hope you packed what was on the list !
When my eldest went off to camp I wasn’t the least bit concerned, but when my third went I actually MISSED her. ME, who never, EVER misses anybody!! Odd feeling.
