Smiley Saturday - Time For a Smile
I found the most awesome blog this week called Time For a Smile. It publishes photographs of people from all walks of life smiling. If you need a little lift in your day, it is certainly worth visiting.
Things that Made Me Smile This Week:
- My 10 year old came and asked me for a cuddle. I sat in an armchair with him in my lap and we just talked. It was a really lovely time. He then spent the next half an hour trying out some number tricks on me.
- Boxing with my personal trainer.
- Visiting the gym with a wonderful friend (my first time in the gym without my personal trainer - discovered I have NO CLUE how to use half the machines there without her pressing all the buttons for me).
- Played a practise game (well, partial game) of netball again at training this week. Don’t think I “looked like death” at the end as much as I did last week. It is such a BUZZ getting back out on the court again.
- I had an interesting search term this week : “how fit do you need to be to play netball”? My answer: fitter than I am!!!!
It made me smile though!
Inspired by “Time For a Smile”, I wanted to share this photo with you of Princess Singstar in her latest outfit:
Doesn’t that gorgeous face just make you want to smile????
Don’t Forget
If you’ve not yet entered my latest giveaway, it’s not too late!!!! It will be soon though! Entries close on Wednesday 7th May 2008 and the winner will be announced next Saturday as part of my Smiley Saturday post.
Why Not Join Us?
Each week we have a great line up of “Smiley Saturday” posts listed in the Mr Linky below. If you’d like to join in, simply write your own Smiley Saturday post with a link back here and add a link to that post in the Mr Linky below. It doesn’t have to be published on a Saturday either. As long as you link directly to your post (rather than the home page) and it makes people smile, I really don’t mind what day it was published.
P.S. Don’t forget to check out my weekly wrap-up post on Lightening’s Blogworld each week.

Singstar Princess looks stunning in her new outfit.
I’m no where near fit enough to even watch netball, let alone play it.
Lovely picture. She does make me smile.
This is such a nice idea. It good to look back at the things in your own week, and everyone else’s too. Makes you appreciate things you might otherwise have let pass by.
I posted my link once but it didn’t show up, so I did it again. Apologies if it’s there twice.
Enjoy your weekend everyone
Marita - LOL. I didn’t realise watching required any fitness.
Journeyer - all looks fine from this end.
Thanks for joining in.
This post has definitely made me smile and the thing about not knowing to work some of the machines without your trainer made me out and out laugh! That’s so cool that you’re getting back into netball - I want to start playing touch footy again but like one of your commenters above said I’m too unfit to even watch it
[Just watching them makes me exhausted!’
SP made me smile too - she is gorgeous and looks very happy.
Thanks for the daily smile link too.
I feel exhausted knowing what you do … and all those blogs - how do you do it ? and so well congratulations on your top listings !
She’s certainly a QT and looks happy herself ;–)
I found Smiley Saturday at the Daily Meme and decided to participate today at Small Reflections. Sharing ’smiles’ makes sense to me! I’ve offered some ‘links’ to things that made me smile this past week in this virtual world … and I’m going to check out the link YOU provided (along with posts from other participants) next.
Hugs and blessings,
Great idea for a meme! This is my first visit.
Cat - I’ve heard touch footy is great fun!!!
Trish - some days I don’t do it. Not all of my blogs are updated as frequently as this one. Thanks for the congrats.
Storyteller - thanks so much for dropping by. It’s great to have you join us this week. I hope you’ll come again.
Janne - welcome and thanks for dropping by. I hope you decide to return at some point.
What a cutie! Glad to see Smiley Saturday is going well - I keep meaning to join in and forgetting.
Thanks for mentioning my site. I like your site very much.
Happy Smiling!

Great smile! Please take a look at the original idea of the smile blog from the happiest blog in the world
The Smile Guy above has done a great job by copying my idea and try to make profit on that. Not a bad try, but he needs to be more creative.
