Smiley Saturday at the end of a Busy Week
Phew! What a week!!!! I’ve made it to the mid-point of the school holidays. THAT is certainly something to smile about!
I had a rough day yesterday but for the most part I have coped very well with the week and have felt GOOD for most of the week!!!! That’s actually quite AMAZING for my body of late.
Our time away with the kids was FANTASTIC!!!!! We all had HEAPS of fun and the kids were pronouncing it the “best holiday ever” which isn’t bad for 2 nights away in a camper trailer.
I managed to find some varied and interesting ways to exercise this week. I did some “aqua aerobics” (my own version) at the Leisure Centre we took the kids to. Plus the jumping pillow.
Thursday night I went to netball training again and this time stayed for the skills part of training. What a BUZZ after all these years. And I don’t think I embarrassed myself *too* much. I did manage to catch the ball *most* of the time. I did struggle with some of the long passes but the rest was okay.
We even stayed for tea afterwards (which wasn’t exactly planned). $2.50 for a half schnitzel with chips and salad!!! Unbelievable!!!!
The boys have their first footy games today so there is plenty of excitement in the house. Singstar Princess could have played today but I said I would prefer her not to given she’s only had a couple of trainings and doesn’t really understand the game fully yet. I don’t want her first game to put her off playing. She’s kind of a back-up reserve if they REALLY need her but I think it would be better if she didn’t have to play.
I hope you can all find something to smile about this week. If not, don’t forget, you can post something funny (an image, joke or whatever) to make your readers smile.
Update: I forgot to mention that there’s going to be a GIVEAWAY announcement in the coming week. I hope you all find that something to smile about!!!!
Be sure to check back often so you don’t miss out!!!!!

Marita - sounds interesting.
Chandelle - thanks for joining in. Great to have you!!!
i’ve actually posted something for this week
But it’s back to bed for me. one should never get up before 7 am on a Saturday if they can help it!
Hi,
have been checking out your blog and enjoying it.
From a fellow SS.
cheers
Kym(oddlysane)
Great reasons to smile - any time away from home is fun . It is great your personal training is having a good effect too.
Bargain dinner too -why would you bother cooking for $2.50.
You guys are so lucky to be able to get away so often. Great for the soul as well as the family.
Looks like another successful Smiley Saturday babe!
Sounds like you had a great week. I did the post including links to you and then forgot to do the Mr Linky thing. Did that and forgot to do a comment. D’oh. All is well now though.
That sounds like an awesome week and you are having a giveaway soon! Can’t wait. Hope entrecard has been better to you today.
Might be the internet connection or some glitch in the entrecard system. *shrugs oh well. Have a another great week and hope to hear about your giveaway soon!
Maggie - hope you got to go back to bed for a while. I understand your reluctance to be up early on a Saturday. I’m changing my blog schedule slightly in the hope that it’ll give international participants a bit longer exposure in the top post on my blog. I’ll explain it more in next Saturdays smiley Saturday post.
Kym - welcome and thanks so much for dropping by and taking the time to comment. I apologise for taking so long to respond.
Trish - that’s basically what we decided. The club must pretty much do it for cost.
Kelley - you’re right, we’re very blessed. A few days away from home does everyone the world of good. Our camper trailer has been a wonderful asset to have over the years. I think lately though we’ve been away more often than what I would consider “normal”.
Gemisht - forgetting the linky thing is not so good. As for the comments, that’s optional. That comment about leaving a comment is a standard “Mr Linky” thing. Can’t say as I like it all that much. I don’t like people feeling obliged to comment.
Jasmine - all will be revealed tomorrow (about the giveaway that is). The Entrecard thing is slowly improving so I can’t help but wonder if it’s their system and they’re gradually fixing things up. It might show on our download because we’re slower than many other places.
Thanks again to all the Smiley Saturday participants this week.
Sorry I haven’t dropped by in a while! I haven’t joined in SS lately either! So much to do, so little time.
That jumping pillow looks like amazing fun. I’ve never seen one before. I’m glad your exercise regime is ‘working out’ (ha ha!) for you. It’s great that you’ve joined in with the netball too. I played a couple of years ago and had a lot of fun, but work committments kept getting in the way.
Re: your simple living post, we just started to get some cold weather, so I made a big pot of vegetable soup. They didn’t come from my garden, but I enjoyed making and sharing it. By taking some to work with me, I had home-made comfort food that was actually healthy! I even had enough to give some to mum and her partner.
You have a lovely family, and I enjoy reading about your adventures.
Lightening,
Now that ‘dawn’ is around the early side of 7am, as oppose to 8am a few months ago, which means the birdies are singing and I’m now sleeping with open windows (wow now there’s something I haven’t done for nearly 8months!) el Crazy psycho kitty….err Buddy my sweetheart…is bound and determine to get me up and out of bed earlier and earlier!
It’s not that I don’t mind getting up early and I could always write a draft the night before and just hit ‘post’ sat morning and go back to bed…..el fatso doesn’t like that! He will, literally, climb the walls, in an attempt to get me out of bed. I’ve accepted the fact that he rules the house here and I am just his maid, at his beck and call. Besides, isn’t that’s what afternoon naps are all about?
