True you can compost shredded paper, but I don’t have access to a compost But there are lots of people here with camps who need kindling to start fires.

My biggest problem is like yours, I can bag it up, but then I leave it and never get rid of it.

On the second Wednesday of the school holidays we are having a bit of a buy swap and sell at church and a cuppa and a chat. The idea is to bring all your old stuff and we will create a mini op shop for the morning, with all proceeds going to the church. All the left overs will go to St Vinnies or someone like that (not that other woman!). I only found out about it on Monday, so wasn’t sure if you knew. I’m not sure what time yet but I’ll let you know. I’m on holidays that week so I will be there! Now there is an offer you can’t refuse! Op shop, cuppa and Sharon’s company!

I really enjoy cleaning out my childrens clothing. Luckily they are the youngest of several cousins so we get heaps of hand-me-downs. But that does make for large amounts of clothing that never get worn. Such a satisfying and easy to complete job.

Tiff - LOL at the chinese laundry. It’s a never ending process really isn’t it. Something to do with the amount of stuff that keeps coming IN I guess.

Maggie - That absolutely counts as decluttering!!!! Did you know you can compost shredded paper?

Kate - I’m hearing you! Problem is, I’m the one who brings a LOT of the stuff INTO the house (new clothes for the kids yada yada) so I can’t even really BLAME anyone but myself (although the kids sure do bring a lot of STUFF home from school these days).

Cellobella - Yeah, I do that too. Store stuff in our boot. LOL.

Lilly - thank you for your kind comment. It does make housework SO much easier when we have less stuff. I REALLY need to work on our office.

River - so you like procrastinating too? No wonder you fit in so well around here.

I love decluttering the clothes as well. Seems we always have heaps of bags for Vinnies lying around though.
We have just started again here. The boys went throught their wardrobes on the weekends.
If i could just get Lily to declutter…
Also, why is it that when i declutter the kids rooms, mine seems to take on the appearance of a chinese laundry?

I have 2.5 bags of shredded paper waiting to go to a friend’s camp for the bonfire. Does that count as decluttering?

I had three bags of old clothes in my boot for two weeks or was it three… waiting for me to stop and put them in a recycling bin.

I agree with you - decluttering is such a great feeling.

I did a huge declutter earlier ths year and I felt so great. Sometimes I think we just have too much stuff and all it does is create more work for us. What a lovely blog you have here.
