Me Bad - I’m Sorry
I have managed to get myself very behind on some awards that people kindly passed on to me. I’m so sorry about that.
I get these things and think “oh yeah, that will be good on a day when I don’t have anything to post”. Hmmm…… those days are fewer than I expected. Seems I have a little “too much” to say.
Now with Easter and the funeral, I’ve lost track and a little concerned I may have forgotten somebody. Anyway, I’ll start with the ones I haven’t lost track of and we’ll take it from there.
Forever Friends Award from Meg.Thanks Meg.
It reads:
A ball is a circle, no beginning, no end
It keeps us together like our circle of friends.
But the treasure inside for you to see
is the treasure of friendship you’ve granted to me.
Today I pass the friendship ball to you.
I would like to pass this on to each and every person that has ever commented on this blog. I count you all as true friends and I’m very appreciative that you take the time out of your day not only to read what I have to say but to leave a comment.
I hope this doesn’t sound like a cop-out by not naming names. I guess I’m just saying what is on my heart. So I hope you’ll accept this without me going through and naming each of you because if I do that I’m SURE to mistakenly miss someone.
Blogs With Heart Award From Tiff
Tiff started this award and I’m honoured to be one of the inagaural recipients even if my delay in passing it on might suggest otherwise. Please forgive me Tiff and thank you so much.
I would like to pass this award on to:
Cerebralmum who writes honestly and openly (when she has time to write
).
Megan at Imaginif whose passion for child protection is fabulous and who writes some wonderful posts with great ideas for keeping children safe and happy.
Lin at Telling It Like It Is who really does “tell it like it is”.
Craig Harper whose kindness toward each individual astounds me. And he passes out hugs to people who comment on his blog!!!! He is part of the inspiration behind me taking the plunge with a personal trainer.
You Make My Day Award from Katie
Lotus at Sarcastic Mom who often cracks me up with her witty and sometimes obscure posts (like the photograph of her son’s faeces that appeared in my reader while I was composing this post!).
Braden at A Braden a Day for his beautiful blue eyes that always bring a smile to my face.
Oh The Joys whose humorous look at life often gives me a chuckle.
Frogdancer who seems to be able to make me either laugh or cry or both.
Suzie at The Abundance Highway who’s positivity and enthusiasm inspire me.
Carole at The Healthy Living Lounge who writes some wonderful articles that inspire me to better physical and emotional health.
Gemisht who is my pillar of strength when times are dark.
I have a couple of more awards to pass on but right now I’m all linked out. I hope to get to them soon. If you’ve passed an award on to me and haven’t seen me mention it yet, you’re more than welcome to say something. I promise I won’t get offended.
I’m NOT A Spammer
For some reason Akismet is marking all my comments as spam. I know many of you have kindly rescued me from the “sin bin”. If you use Akismet can you please (pretty please) check your spam folders to make sure there isn’t a comment in there from me. I know I’m not the only innocent commenter that this has happened to in recent times so if you’re using Akismet PLEASE make a habit of checking it in case a genuine comment has gotten caught up in the system.

Thanks Lightening. Like you, I always fall behind on awards and memes. It is not that I do not appreciate them, just that I have such little time. Another child protection blogger I link with has established a page just for her awards - seems to work well for her.
Aw, thanks so much… from me AND Braden!
(PS: I am so behind on this kind of thing, too. Argh!)
Thank you Lightening, and thank you for sharing your story on my latest post dealing with child sexual abuse. I appreciate your honesty and candor, as it isn’t easy for many victims to speak out.
Your comment actually did somehow land in the Askimet folder, but fortunately I check that pretty often, so you’ve been rescued.
thank you ligtning. im in the process of trying to find another blog as im over the lack of things that i can do with blogger and wordpress.. off to check my Askimet folder now..
I have no idea what Akismet is!
I know what you mean by awards and memes. I am way behind and have been trying to catch up this week.
Kate
Ah, don’t worry - we all get behind, and besides they’re always optional (I’m sure I’m not alone in thinking that).
That said - thanks
Sorry about your Akismet probs. Have rescued you a couple of times
I think that happens to a lot of us randomly.
Congrats! All well deserved, my friend.
Hi there, I just rescued your comment from the “sin bin”… maybe you get there because there is “lightening” everywhere? (site, email, name etc) or maybe some folks have marked you as spam in the past. I believe you can contact akismet about this issue to get you out of there black book….
congrats on all those prizes! looks like your blog deserves them
Thanks so much for thinking of me and giving me an award. I’ll now need to treat myself to an extra dose of organic dark chocolate.
How does it feel to be famous with all those awards.
Peace, love and chai tea
Carole
I blush! Thank you!!
