Spoilt
One of the advantages to only picking up mail once or twice a week is that it increases your chances of finding something of more interest than bills in the mail. However, I have to admit, picking up a haul like this all in one day is NOT a normal occurrence.
I’m feeling very spoilt and totally undeserving right now but I wanted to share these things with you (and also thank those that they came from).
1. Meditation CD
I was very excited to win a meditation CD from a Giveaway on The Healthy Living Lounge. Carole writes some fantastic articles. Hers is a blog well worth the visit.
This was great timing for me as it’s something I’ve been wanting to try. I’ve already tried the first relaxation exercise on the CD and can’t wait to try the others. Pam Abeling has the most soothing, relaxing voice. It’s great!!! Thank you so much Carole and Pam.
2. Crafty Bits and Pieces
Can you believe that this was a CONSOLATION PRIZE????? A little while ago, SewDelish had a contest to celebrate reaching 2000 visitors. My name ended up being drawn for a consolation prize. How lovely was that? Thank you so much.
3. Complete Tightwad Gazette
My copy of The Complete Tightwad Gazette has arrived from Amazon. Pretty speedy service given it had to come from the US. I ordered this using a gift certificate from Jenn who had a competition on her blog a little while ago. Thanks Jenn.
I have to pinch myself to believe I now have my very own copy!!!! You’ll be hearing more from the Tightwad Gazette over the coming weeks!!!!
4. Yarn Sample Cards
This one wasn’t a blog giveaway or competition but it was lots of fun to receive so I’ve included it here. These were sent to me by Ozeyarn which is the place I purchased the cotton from to knit the dishcloths I knitted for the recent Smiley Saturday Swap. All those beautiful yarns and it’s raining outside - makes me want to KNIT something.
Yep, I know. I’m way too spoilt!!! But oh what fun I’m having!
So much fun that I think it’s time for another giveaway/competition here on Lightening Online. Now to come up with an idea for a prize…. stay tuned folks.

Wow, I wish my mail was that exciting.
Uh oh, that reminds me, guess what I haven’t done. Then it would be exciting LOL
Have fun with everything there, it all looks good
what a haul - well deserved too. I can’t wait for you to share the tight wad tips.
I love getting gifts in the mail and sending them … reminds me I have a few to do tomorrow.
Oh how wonderful! Lucky you
Off to drool over the yarn site and maybe buy some to send to mum
Looking forward to hearing how the other relaxations go. I need something like that too!
I am glad you liked your stash. Have fun!

I know what it is like to look for goodies in the mail. I have been lately trying to check online for free samples and things just for free. I is kind of fun opening up envelopes and finding some sort of lotion or something I forgot I had requested. OK so I don’t have much of a life right now but it does give me something to get up for in the morning.
Would love to get a haul like that from my mail box! Haven’t heard of the Tightwad Gazette, so look forward to hearing more about it.
So glad you were able to get the book you wanted!
What a great day at the mailbox!!
