Home Safe and Sound

Hi everyone,

I wanted to let you know we’ve arrived home safe and sound albeit rather weary after our time away.  Thank you so much for all your thoughts and prayers.  They’re very much appreciated.

The funeral was a wonderful tribute to a very special lady who was (and will continue to be) loved by many.  It was also lovely to catch up with my friends (just a pity about the circumstances it sometimes takes for us to make the effort to catch up - of course, living in 3 different states does make it somewhat challenging).

As you can imagine, I’m tired.  I suspect it’ll take a few days of rest to recuperate.  And of course a few days of hugs to catch up on the 4 and a half days we were away from our kids.  I found it hard leaving them this time.  I think partly because of how far away we were travelling.  Of course, they’ve been having a great time with Granny.

And while I was away I got to visit an Aldi for the very first time (one of the benefits of travelling to Victoria).  But more on that tomorrow.  Wink

Hugs babe. Glad it was lovely. I have my Grandmothers ‘thing’ on the weekend. Still uncomfortable about it, would have preferred a real funeral, but hey, not my decision…

Welcome back! I’m glad to hear it went as well as could be expected. You’re right about it being a good opportunity to catch up with people. Some of the best visits in my family have occurred at funerals. Ironic, really, isn’t it?

Looking forward to hearing your thoughts on Aldi — i’ve never been to one.

So glad you are home safe. I’ll just put my Mother Hen hat on and say make sure you rest heaps. Take care of yourself.

Glad that it was great to catch up with friends, despite the circumstances.

Oooo Aldi. Did the prices just make you flip out??? It’s a wonderful place to shop.

Glad you’re back and you’ve said your goodbyes.

@Anja - LOL - you don’t need to pass it back - we could just leave it here and if Lightening needs one of us to put it on, then whoever is here can do it.

I think she needs some looking after ATM.

Silly me. I thought I would give you a few days to recuperate before checking if you were back online. I obviously underestimated your addiction, ahem, passion!
    Welcome back! I’ve missed you!
    Catch up soon
