After reading this post late last week (I think that's when it was), I experienced a strange thing myself. Driving home from town, I suddenly began thinking about Dad. I found myself thinking about a little speech I'd written for Father's Day about 5 years ago detailing all the wonderful things about him. When I got home, DH told me Mum had just rung and Dad was in intensive care. He's fine (I'll tell you that right now so you don't worry). He'd suffered a number of serious flatlines where his heart simply stopped for a period of time. It's different to a heart attack because there's no damage to the heart tissue. So he's been fitted with a pacemaker today and should be discharged tomorrow. Isn't it mystifying and wonderful how our hearts and minds are so deeply tuned into our loved ones that things like this happen. (...actually, I'm not even sure if that's the reason but it sounds like one explanation).
