Unconscious Mutterings

I have just come across this and thought it would be kind of fun to try. You take the list of words offered and type the first thing that enters your head.

Here is my attempt:

  1. Homicide :: death
  2. Divisive :: arguing
  3. Flash :: bright intermittent light
  4. Steaming :: really, REALLY angry
  5. Crunch :: the sound potato chips make - yum!!!
  6. Look out! :: someone’s out to get you
  7. Anticipating :: excitement, something good is going to happen
  8. Slim :: what I’d like to be
  9. Navel :: is yours an innie or an outie?
  10. Help :: something I need to ask for more

    I read steaming and I think carrots. I read navel and I think orange…. Can you tell that I love food?!!

    Then again I read flash and think speed camera!

    I went back and did some of her old ones and there was one “in safe hands” and it’s funny, the first thing I thought of was not a word but a picture, a pair of cupped hands and that made me think God’s hands. I thought it was neat that I thought a picture rather than a word as I am normally more linguistic than visual.

    Bettina - I thought they were great responses. Nothing average minded about them.

    Cat - LOL at the food association. Interesting with the visual. Perhaps it was as much a message as anything???
