Smiley Saturday
This week for my Smiley Saturday post I’m going to pass on the “You Cheer Me Up” Award that Lisa from The Tin House passed on to me recently. It makes me smile to have received this award because I really DO LOVE to in some small way, make others smile.
The original award comes from A Nice Place in the Sun, a place where everyone who has won the award is listed.
The creator of the You Cheer Me Up award had three things in mind for the recipients:
* bloggers who make me laugh until my face hurts
* bloggers whose writing voice comforts me when I’m feeling lost
* bloggers who inspire me when I’m feeling blue.
The original award instructions are:
If you are a recipient of the You Cheer Me Up Award, please find the blogs that cheer you up, copy the code to post on your sidebar and pass Ethel and Lucy across the blogosphere. You can use what cheers you up in your post, or copy this one, but please send your award recipients back to the original post on A Nice Place In The Sun to get a copy of the award code, post the image and read the instructions. I want to try to maintain a page of original and ongoing award recipients, so feel free to let me know if you’ve received an award when you pick up the image code.

Phew! I had no idea when I started compiling this list how many people had gotten involved in the short time Smiley Saturday has been running. Thank you to each of you (and if I missed you, please let me know). Seeing that smiley face image all over the place and reading your posts really does cheer me up!!!! 
A quick note to Smiley Saturday swap participants:
If any Smiley Saturday swap partners are yet to hear from their partner, could you please let me know. You have one more week to get parcels in the post and don’t forget to send me a photo if you can so I can do a bit of a parade of all the fun we’ve been having.

I love your Smiley Saturday Post too! I stopped by yesterday after you left a comment and read your “about me” category. You’re an articulate and fun writer in addition to a really nice person. I’m so glad you left a comment, and I added “Lightening” to the award recipients list, as I will do for each of your nominees who let me know they’ve picked up the code.
It’s bizarre how I happened by here today although I was planning on stopping to read your Saturday Smiley Post- I was at Entrecard, and found your other blog and applied to run an ad. I thought something was off, but I couldn’t place what is was, I mean I knew it was you and it said Lightening’s blog. Then I saw the pink picture of Lightening and thought, well, I guess she has two blogs, which is even better! But I was confused for a minute. (LOL) Anyway, I plan on adding your other one to my award recipients list as well as both to my new blogroll.

Well, I’ve done it. And its Monday. Sigh. I guess it might still be Sunday somewhere, right. So that means its not that late.
