I Need A Hug :(
I’m having one of “those” days today. Went out all day yesterday which has left me rather drained and tired. DH has taken the kids out so I can have some quiet “recovery” time.
So I’m sitting here feeling a bit blue and thinking to myself “I need a hug”. 
Out of curiosity I googled those words and the following is some of what I discovered.
In order of how they came up on my Google Page:
1. Group Hug . Join up and you can put your thoughts and feelings out there for people to either “hug” or “shrug”. Honestly, when I’m in need of a hug, not sure I’d be strong enough to take a “shrug” (ie I don’t care) even if it is from a stranger. Must be a popular site to come up as #1 on a google search though.
2. Hugs for Everyone. Join the “tribe” and get lots of hugs from other members. A similar idea to the one above, only stranger if you ask me………
3. Allposters.com “I need a hug” . Have a look at this picture. It’s so adorable it’s bound to make you smile and go all mushy! 
4. The “do you need a hug” test at okcupid. So I took the test. Mostly to check that it was okay to link to from my blog. I can’t vouch for the rest of the site but from what I could gather, the test itself seemed relatively harmless.

Let’s face it. You need a hug. Possibly mostly because you want a hug. And I want to give it to you because you’re so cute and cuddly. Yes you are! … Yes you are! Just look at you! … Awwwwwww
Mind you, I didn’t need to take a TEST to find out if I need a hug or not. I already KNOW that!!!
5. Need a Hug? . This is a person standing with arms outstretched. I’m not a HUGE fan of hypnosis myself (the main theme of this site). But I guess the offer of a hug is there if I want it……
6. You Tube link. If you came across this guy in the street, how would you respond? I’m not sure how I’d go. It’s a lovely gesture and all, but well….how do I know he’s not a wierdo???? Peope don’t just go around HUGGING each other!!!!!
All the same, it’s rather a heartwarming video to watch and amazing some of the responses he gets. Very brave to put himself out there like that too.
7. Link to another You Tube video related to “hug a pet” day. I’m not anti-animals but not all that crash hot on kissing them either. Or lying down cuddling them on the bed. Trust me, it was a pretty boring video of someone cuddling and kissing their dog. Wasn’t really worth putting here OR linking to.
8. Whatta you know??? A link to another blogger with “I Need A Hug” as their subject matter. Seems I’m not the only blogger that needs a hug.
9. Link to an online e-card saying “I Need A Hug“. Cute picture. E-cards are great aren’t they. Often they give a different dimension to a cardboard card.
10. This one links to a beautiful page called “HUGS“. It might rank at number 10 on Google but it’s my pick of the bunch. Some lovely poems and pictures - all on the topic of “hugs”. If you have some time, it’s worth a little look. I might even pinch use some of it’s material in future smiley Saturday posts.
So there you have it, the top 10 Google responses to “I Need A Hug”. See, Google has an answer for everything!!!!

I have to admit, I still feel like I need a hug. It was interesting research though and a few of the sites I visited did make me smile.

My hubby lost his wedding ring this morning, well technically he took it off sometime 2-3 days ago and can’t find it. But this morning is the first I’ve heard that it was lost. Feeling a little blue myself due to that.

My sister gave birth yesterday evening, so today I got to *cuddle* a newborn. I think cuddles are superior. With hugs you have to let go after a certain short amount of time.

Hey Uncle Stuffy. I am TOTALLY jealous. What I wouldn’t give to hold a tiny little newborn baby right now. How did your sister get old enough to have a child???? Last I remember she was about 13-14…..time is passing way too quickly for me.
