I have just read all the way through this series and it sounds brilliant! In one place you mention soaking dried beans then freezing them - I had never thought of doing that, and thinking ahead to soak beans is my biggest block to using more. Are there any tricks needed to freeze soaked beans?

wow- this was on my list to do this year - find out our actual grocery spending and do an analysis where we can save money. Yes, even $20 saved or (overspent) a week is $1000 a year. - Tracking spending is exactly the right word.
I would/will have to be disciplined to break down my WW and Coles/Aldi dockets .

Thanks I will be back to read more.

This is so helpful! I've really been trying to cut down on my grocery spending, but struggling with it. Now I have the step by step plan. Thanks so much for posting this. I'll be referring to it often, I believe.

This is sort of what I do too, although I have never tried breaking it down into categories to see how much we spend in each group. I might try this for the next month to see how it all fits together! Thanks for the advice :)
