New Character Introductions
I’ve noticed many blogs use some kind of name for their family members. Given I’m a little tired of using DH, DD etc….. I thought it was about time I did something like this for my own blog.
So, who are we?
Lightening - me (you can read more about me in the “About” page).
Farmboy - DH. Yes, he’s a farmer. Looks FANTASTIC all hot and sweaty in a blue singlet. 
Sshhh….don’t tell anyone but he’s actually YOUNGER than me. Not really enough to be considered my toy boy though (younger by 6 months). Fortunately he’s going bald as he’s always looked young for his age. Don’t tell him I said it’s a good thing he’s going bald!!!
Leighton - DS (almost 10). He’s tiny and a whizz at tennis. Named after Leighton Hewitt, his favourite tennis player. DS would LOVE to play professional sport one day. Sometimes referred to as my “absent minded professor”. He has an amazing memory and is good at maths. If it’s not about sport or numbers though, there’s a good chance it won’t take up space in his brain!
* note: as I’m typing this, he comes into the office carrying his tennis raquet. “I love this raquet” he tells me. “I just want to get dad’s raquet and see how light it is”, he goes on. Then proceeds to do an analysis of whether his or his fathers tennis raquet is the lightest. He mumbled on about something else but he talks a lot and I don’t ALWAYS listen.
Singstar Princess- my darling daughter who turns 7 in January. She LOVES to jump on the trampoline and pretend she’s giving a concert to millions. She’s my little princess (and daddy’s too!). She LOVES everything girly and wants to buy out the whole store whenever we go shopping!
The Bomb - our youngest son has just turned 4 and has been quite a shock to the system after having 2 fairly quiet and sedate children. His redeeming feature is that while he plays hard, he also sleeps hard. He LOVES everything about the farm but is particularly passionate about trucks and anything with a trailer.
When I get back from holidays*, I will add this information to my header bar so that it can easily be referred to. I may add other characters down the track.
*Yes, I’ve been away so if I haven’t replied to any comments, I will when I return. Most of my recent posts have been written in advance.
